| Yassine Bounou (Arabic: ياسين بونو, Berber languages: ⵢⴰⵙⵉⵏ ⴱⵓⵏⵓ; born 5 April 1991), also known as Bono, is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal. Born in Canada, he plays for the Morocco national team.
Having spent the majority of his career at Sevilla FC, He won the Zamora Trophy as the best goalkeeper of the season in La Liga. Bono was ranked thirteenth for the 2023 Ballon d'Or while third and fifth for the 2023 and 2025 Yashin Trophy respectively. He also ranked third place for The Best FIFA Goalkeeper in 2022 and 2023, and third place by the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper in 2022, at the international level, he achieved fourth place with his national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Bono began his youth career in Morocco, playing for Wydad AC. He spent most of his senior career in Spain, making over 150 La Liga appearances, and over 50 in the Segunda División. During the 2021–22 season, he won the Zamora Trophy for the first time in the history of Sevilla.
Born in Canada to Moroccan parents, Bono returned to Morocco at the age of three with his family. He has been a full international for Morocco since 2013. Having previously played for the under-23 team at the 2012 Olympics, he has represented his nation at two FIFA World Cup and five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
