Liam Henderson (born 25 April 1996) is a Scottish professional football central midfielder. He is in his third spell with Italian club Empoli, currently in Serie A and who he has captained in the Coppa Italia. As a Celtic squad player, he helped win the 2015 Scottish League Cup Final, and played enough games to medal for the 2016-17 Scottish Premiership win. He collected medals for helping Rosenborg win the 2015 Norwegian league and cup double. Subbed on at 2-1 down, he provided two assists in the 2016 Scottish Cup Final helping Hibernian win 3-2 their first Scottish Cup in 114 years. He has made over 320 senior competitive first team appearances, with all bar the first 98 played in Italy. He helped Hellas Verona win the 2019 Serie B play-offs for promotion to Serie A. Henderson is the only Scot to reach 75 men's Serie A appearances. He has also played in Italy for Bari, Lecce and Palermo.
