Ayoze Pérez Gutiérrez (born 29 July 1993 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or left winger for La Liga club Real Betis and the Spain national team.
He began his career at hometown club CD Tenerife, where he received several personal awards for his performances in the 2013–14 Segunda División season before joining Newcastle United for around €3 million, where he played for five seasons. In 2019, he moved to another English club, Leicester City, as he won the FA Cup and Community Shield two years later. In 2023, he was also loaned to Spanish club Real Betis with five months remaining on his Leicester contract, before he joined the club later that year on a free transfer.
Pérez has represented Spain internationally at under-21 level. He made his debut with the senior team in June 2024, and played at the UEFA Euro 2024 against Italy in the second match of the group phase, where Spain won 1-0. He wasn't able to play more during the tournament as he picked up a muscular strain to his right leg in that game.
