For much of the first half Nozawa and F. Gabriel played on opposite flanks (to the default formation), but for the start of the second half reverted back to their starting positions. Both their goals were scored whilst playing in the Left-Midfield position.

This match was originally scheduled for 10-May-2011, but was brought forward, due to the events in Japan which would postpone the reverse leg (Kashima Home game in M.2) to this day instead.
