a good game, verona off to the better start. a first half sub for bari brought on de falco who, perhaps still cold, 2 minutes later lost a simple ball to martinho while standing just in front of his box. sgrigna caught the loose ball and laid a perfect heel for the oncoming martinho who broke loose and shot nicely from just inside the box to score verona s first. leading 0-1 verona then sat too far back on its heels. bari took advantage of the open space to take the initiative for much of the rest of the match, but chances were fewç a shot by iunco was the only true challenge to bring GK rafael into action. a sudden late match counter attack saw nielsen (aka lund) find martinho with a great long ball on the ground from left to center. martinho got behind the defenders to pick up the ball and scored his second. before this match bari s coach torrente was said by the media to be almost certain to be dismissed, if defeated.
