This referee is unfortunately a total disaster. He may be good and accepted in his region, but during the World Cup in S Africa he manages to rank among the worst and most incompetent referees of the tournament. In his (let us hope only) match he had to lead, Chile vs. Switzerland, he killed the match by constantly whistling and stopping the game, not allowing it to take any rhtythm at any point. He dished out a ridiculous amount of 9 yellow cards and one red. Four of those yellow cards were for forwards... A helpless man, more focussed on himself then on the game. Never to referee at a World Cup again, please.
