It’s fair to say that if it was down to Manchester United fans, the Red Devil’s could be lining
up with an entirely different team next season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said a number of times there will be wholesale changes in the
summer, with some players expected to be shipped out after poor seasons.
That means players in. They’ll certainly need them if they’re to challenge for the top four.
The draw against Huddersfield just last week perhaps epitomised where the club is at, and if
they’re going to challenge for a Champions League spot quality needs to be added to the
squad.

Goalkeeper
It’s unlikely David De Gea will move on this summer although the Spanish stopper has been
slow moving on a new contract.
The interest in the 28-year-old is high, and with just a year to run on his contract, the likes of
PSG or Real Madrid May be inclined to make a cheeky offer.
Should that happen, United are ready to make their move for Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.
The Slovakian keeper is considered one of the best in the world and would certainly be a
worthy replacement.
If United to manage to keep the Spaniard, it may well be worth taking advantage of some of
the generous
bookmaker offers available and backing them to finish in the top four given
how important he’s been for the Reds over the last few seasons.

Defenders
Ole has major problems in his back four and it’s an issue that has haunted all that has come
before him since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw have perhaps secured their place in the first 11, with right
back and another centre back high on Solskjaer’s shopping list.
Diogo Dalot will certainly want to stake his claim on the right, and is certainly one for the
future. Juventus’ Joao Cancelo looks like
he’ll be targeted, with the club potentially facing a
battle with neighbours City for his signature.
At centre back, a number of players have been linked with the club, most notably Napoli’s
Kalidou Koulibaly. It’s believed Ed Woodward has been given the green light for a world
record bid for a defender, following the success of Virgil van Dijk, and Carlo Ancelotti has
refused to stand in the Senegal international’s way should he want to leave.
Should that transfer not come off, the club are also said to be considering reigniting their
interest in Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire, who has had another fine season with
Leicester, and could be the more realistic option.

Midfielders
Recent reports have suggested Scott McTominay will be a key figure in United’s midfield
next season but it’s certainly fancied that reinforcements will be brought in given they could
lose both Ander Herrera and Juan Mata.
Paul Pogba is also considering his options, with Solskjaer happy to let him leave should he
so wish. Adrien Rabiot is the club’s target as a replacement if that happens, while it’s also
thought the club are in contact with Roma over midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The Italian club have struggled this season and it could be the perfect time for United to
swoop at a cost of around £30million.
Declan Rice is also being considered as an option and would certainly be a solid option as a
replacement for Nemanja Matic, who has failed to impress the new manager.
Fred is growing increasingly likely to get his chance next season.

Attackers
Marcus Rashford will continue to be Solskjaer's key man on attack with the futures of
Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez looking ominous.
Jesse Lingard will also likely get the nod as a regular starter, with investment needed
elsewhere to speed up their play and be more clinical in front of goal.
For Anthony Martial he’ll be facing another make or break season, with the manager
continuing to show faith in the Frenchman.
He will be in the market though. It’s believed the club have made contact over a move for
£43million rated Moussa Dembele who has had a successful season at Lyon since his move
from Celtic.
Jadon Sancho has also long been on the wishlist of the Old Trafford side with a £100million
bid looming. The lack of Champions League action could jeopardise that however, but the
club look like they’ll do anything to nail down their number one target this summer.
