thrilling football actions for fans and punters each weekend and some weekdays. This is the case whether it is
those hoping to lift the EPL trophy, avoid relegation to the Championship, or battle it out to qualify for
European football.
From the teams that are more likely to be relegated from the English football top flight to those that are going
to compete for the title, this EPL and
EFL tips guide will help any punter to make informed decisions when it
comes to betting on English football. You’ll also discover the main favourites, underdogs and some surprises.
Let’s find out more.
Who is Going to Win the 2023/2024 Premier League?
Manchester City recently lost its first game of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Despite that, it’s
the favourite to win the Premier League. The defending champions have enjoyed a six-match triumph,
accumulating 18 points.
The Citizens are looking forward to lifting their fourth EPL title in a row, and know they can build on their
excellent start to beat their close rivals, Liverpool and Arsenal. Manchester City appears not to have any early
problems in terms of performance. They have only managed to concede five goals in seven EPL matches.
While Manchester City is the main favourite, Arsenal and Liverpool are predicted to be strong EPL contenders.
Arsenal are looking to end their long wait for the English football top-flight trophy, a first since their invincible
season of 2003/2004.
Last season, Arteta’s men settled for second place. They’re third with zero defeats, two draws, and five wins out
of their first seven matches. Liverpool had a mixed 2022/2023 season, struggling towards the end of the season.
Despite drawing their first EPL game and losing one out of seven, Liverpool is tipped to be a strong contender.
Which Teams Are Likely to Be Relegated?
As is often the case, promoted EFL teams are the favourites to go back down, and that has been true in the first
six games of the English Premier League. While Luton, Burnley, and Sheffield United have been in the relegation
region, it was until the seventh game that Luton managed to win against Everton and move one step outside
the red zone.
With one win, a draw and five defeats, Everton joined the relegation battle after a defeat against Luton. It has
survived relegation for the second season simultaneously. If they don’t work on their weaknesses and find the
right path, they’re the favourites to exit the English football top flight.
Surprises, Underdogs, and Main Favourites
The main favourite’s slot has already gone, as Manchester City are predicted to be the winners of the EPL. Aston
Villa are predicted to pull a surprise this season. Despite losing 5:1 to Newcastle in the first game, Aston Villa
has only lost two games out of seven. It’s in excellent form to score goals and defend, making it a surprise title
contender.
Newcastle and Chelsea are the underdogs to win the EPL trophy. Chelsea has only managed to win one game
and draw two. Despite spending heavily, they aren’t even near the middle of the table. Newcastle have had a
mixed season, winning four and losing three of their first seven games. After seven games, they’re in the middle
of the table, but most football fans were hoping that it’ll be among the top four.
