On May 15th, River Plate reported 15 players as positive for COVID-19. On May 18th, the club asked CONMEBOL to update its Squad List, but the petition was denied. Because of this, River Plate played the game against Santa Fe with only 11 players on the field and no substitutes; an injured Pérez, Enzo acted as GK.
