    The Referee on this game
Gorn. ( GBSouthampton ) - 11-Sep-10 18:21
This referee is totally incompetent. Gave a second yellow for Billy Jones TIME WASTING(!!)77 mins, whilst PNE were 3-1 up. Burnley come back to win 4-3. Thanks Friend - your not welcome in Preston EVER. A disgrace.

flanders ( GBLancashire ) - 11-Sep-10 22:47 disgusted. Burney v Pne, i am sure this ref is taking bets on the side, what a disgrace to referring, ban him immediately from reffing any match again, Sunday league even is a no no for this bribe taking person. not swearing to get this published but exchange every word for a swear word, cheat cheat cheat

nice guy ( GBLancashire ) - 11-Sep-10 23:40 This referee is totally incompetent. Gave a second yellow for Billy Jones TIME WASTING(!!)77 mins, whilst PNE were 3-1 up. Burnley come back to win 4-3. Thanks Friend - A complete disgrace.

John Smith ( GBFalkirk ) - 14-Sep-10 14:57 have to say in all my time watching football was the worst sending off ive ever seen if you watch the tv friend was hurrying him up before he got to the ball and he only had it 5 seconds i hope all refs implement this hardline policy when we are chasing a game but i somehow doubt it.....i spent 40 quid getting to this game thanks you p**ck for ruining my day

Darren Ferguson ( GBFalkirk ) - 14-Sep-10 15:01 Never in my 20 years in football have I seen a sending off for that. I don t know if he realised he d already booked Billy, but he warned him and then sent him off.

The tackle on Joshua King [by Danny Fox] was a disgrace and he could have a broken ankle. There was a foul on Sean St. Ledger for the fourth goal but these things happen.
We had been in control of the game before the injuries and I was disappointed it was only two at half-time. I felt that footballing wise there was only one team trying to play, they just went and lumped it and unfortunately for us it got them some success.

We controlled the game for 75 minutes. We were the only team who played any football; we were in complete control of the game at 3-1. I was looking for more goals, but then the sending off changed things. Having said that, even with ten men you don t expect to lose three goals. Iwelumo s second goal was a hell of a finish to get that back in the game, but we were by far the better team tonight.
I can t remember it ever happening before. I don t like talking about referees as a manager but I can t help it today. We were in complete control of the game and there was only going to be one winner and then he s made the decision and they ve got out of jail.

hammers ( GBLeicester ) - 02-Oct-10 23:37 its very easy to blame the ref for your own teams lack of ability to stick it in the net.
granted refs domake a mistake, but it all levels up in the end. Also lets chat about the cheats in the game (players) and leave the refs alone
